American Humane Attests to the Quality Care and Treatment of SeaWorld Animals

June 7, 2019

The following media statement can be attributed to Paul Boyle, Ph.D., National Director, American Humane Certified:

Animals need and deserve great welfare, and families deserve to know that the zoos and aquariums they visit are doing right by the animals in their care. American Humane has recognized SeaWorld as having exceptional standards for the humane treatment of the tens of thousands of animals in its care and the thousands they have rescued, nursed back to health, and released.

“Our organization, the country’s first national humane organization and the world’s largest certifier of animal welfare, certified SeaWorld’s parks last year in San Antonio, San Diego, and Orlando, as well as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, through our Humane Certifiedprogram. The parks passed rigorous and lengthy third-party animal welfare audits, earning this prestigious certification.”
