Happy Holidays!

From all of us at American Humane, happy holidays! Few months present as many celebrations as December, and no matter what holiday you are celebrating, we hope you can relax, unwind and spend quality time with those you love, including your pets, whether that be in person or virtually!

We are so grateful for you, our fellow animal lovers. It is hard to find words to describe 2020 – it was a harrowing year that tested us all. However, because of your generosity, American Humane still made an impact for millions of animals across the nation. We launched an emergency Feed the Hungry COVID-19 fund, providing grants to animal shelters that were struggling not only to feed their animal residents, but also to keep the lights on. Despite the impact of the novel coronavirus, thirteen veteran and service dog pairs completed their training through our Pups4Patriots™ program and started new lives together. On the nineteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we helped Military Working Dog Ramos, a K-9 hero, complete his journey of 6,700 miles around the globe and finally come home. We also carried through on our months-long commitment to reunite U.S. Army Specialist Traveon Gayden with Military Working Dog Tshaar, who both traveled long and far. And, in the face of hurricanes and wildfires, we deployed to help the four-legged victims who were alone and terrified.

We couldn’t have carried out these lifesaving efforts without your support. And now, we have an opportunity to make an impact for even more animals! Through December 31, your gift will be doubled thanks to an incredible $150,000 challenge grant. If you are able, please provide a year-end gift to help our beloved four-legged friends who aren’t as lucky this holiday season.

Thank you and once again, happy holidays!
