American Humane Presents Angelico Cat Rescue with Feed the Hungry Grant

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, July 8, 2020American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization, today announced that Angelico Cat Rescue received a grant from American Humane’s Feed the Hungry fund. Located in Lauderhill, Florida, Angelico Cat Rescue aims to refresh the world on the importance of caring for animals.

“COVID-19 has affected my rescue greatly with the lack of funds coming in,” said Tammy Brzezniak, Executive Director of Angelico Cat Rescue. “The COVID grant has helped me immensely in helping to feed over 58 cats that I have here, and provide food, litter, toys and all of the essentials to keep them going. I can’t thank you enough.”

Angelico Cat Rescue rescues abandoned, abused and injured animals whether they are large or small; rehabilitates them, has them vaccinated, spayed or neutered; and finds them loving adoptive homes. The shelter supports the local community by offering programs involving animals to benefit disabled persons, children and the elderly. It also seeks to increase public awareness of the companion animal overpopulation issue and provide solutions to end the killing of adoptable animals. The rescue is a one-person operation and the Feed the Hungry grant will help considerably in purchasing necessary supplies to care for the cats.
